James is donating an "acoustic art guitar" to be auctioned at a Music Therapy Trust Gala in Toronto in September where his book publishing partner Fran Herman is being honoured for her contribution to the Fund on the occasion of her retirement.

Miner’s Memorial Drumheller, Alberta

To mark the upcoming centennial of mining in Drumheller, James’s design has been chosen for a miner’s memorial to be located in a park next to the Civic Centre and Municipal Library in downtown Drumheller. It will integrate an artefact on long-term loan from the Atlas Coal Mine National Historic Site. As well as presenting information about mining in the Drumheller valley. The memorial is to be constructed to honour all men who gave their lives working in the valley’s mines. The location for the memorial project is an outdoor space, located next to the Civic Centre and Municipal Library in downtown Drumheller Atlas Coal Mine National Historic Site

Canadian Jewish War Veterans Toronto, Ontario

James has won a competition to create a monument to honour Canadian Jewish War Veterans. The monument will be located at the UJA Federation, Greater Toronto Sherman Campus at 4600 Bathurst, NORTH YORK, ON. It is scheduled for completion for a November 11, 2011 Remembrance Day Ceremony.
